Join us in giving to UMCOR from 3/14 to Easter
On March 14 it will be one year since we met in person. To mark this unprecedented moment, let us join together in supporting the United Methodist Committee On Relief.
UMCOR Sunday is one of the special Sundays observed by the United Methodist Church and provides all the funding for the entire year to support their ministry – from salaries to utilities. It seems appropriate that we mark the occasion with a donation to UMCOR for all the work they have done around the world, not only in helping with relief during the pandemic, but for the relief they have brought to thousands every year.
Remember last year’s wildfires? The Wildfire Buckets our conference was able to give out were done in partnership with UMCOR and that’s just one of many examples of the good work this organization is doing across the world. Instead of just one Sunday, we want to give everyone a chance to give who feels led and so we’ll be accepting donations to the UMCOR Project through Easter. It’s because of our giving that UMCOR can send 100% of donations toward the crisis happening in the moment. We pay the bills so others don’t have to.
Please join us in supporting UMCOR – the United Methodist Committee on Relief – during this Lenten season. Just click on this link and put “UMCOR” in the memo line to give digitally or send in a check by doing the same. Let’s commemorate this time in the life of our church by giving hope to others in their time of need.
