Dear Berkeley Methodist United,
On behalf of Friends of Wadi Foquin, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation for your contribution of $861 during the recent speaking tour for Janet Lahr Lewis and Ata Manasra. Ata was overwhelmed by the number or people who are supportive of our partnership with the village of Wadi Foquin. He was also touched by the compassion and hospitality that was extended to him by many of you on his recent visit. Your contribution will be designated for the renovation of the community center in the village which will begin following Ramadan.

After meeting Ata, many of you have expressed interest in being part of our next rip to the Holy Land & Israel/Palestine. As a tour guide, he looks forward to extending his welcome to you there. Please contact us to begin scheduling your trip.

Our advocacy efforts also continue with our request to the Lantos Human Rights Commission to schedule a briefing on the human rights issues facing the village of Wadi Foquin. If you would like to help us in your congressional district, please contact us for that as well.
