On April 26, a good group from BMU met at a house in West Berkeley to assist with Rebuilding Together. Rebuilding Together provides critical repairs and renovations for low-income American homeowners and the communities where they live. They believe that every person deserves to live in a Safe and Healthy home.
Participants included Carolyn Soto, Jean Hart, Peggy and Lindsay Hiratzka, Emma Williams, Mike Friedrich, Richard Pearson and Takashi Israels. They cleared clutter and repaired the roof gutters. It was hard work, but rewarding to know that they helped the homeowner have a Safe and Healthy home. When they finished work on this home, some members did even more to help at a second home!
